Areas of Usage and Instructions

Introductory

A neonatal ventilator is a medical device used to provide mechanical ventilation support for newborns experiencing respiratory distress or respiratory failure. This device temporarily supports the infant’s breathing function, ensuring efficient oxygen delivery to the alveoli in cases of respiratory obstruction, prematurity, hypoxic respiratory conditions, or other respiratory issues. Neonatal ventilators allow for precise adjustment of parameters such as respiratory rate, inspiratory time, tidal volume, and airway pressure, helping to maintain stable vital functions. Additionally, these ventilators offer the flexibility to switch between non-invasive and invasive modes, catering to the individual needs of the neonate. This device is a critical tool in the management of critically ill infants in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs).
