PTSS in Türkiye is a digital platform designed to monitor and track the distribution of pharmaceuticals within the country. Every individual box of drugs is assigned a 2D DataMatrix, which is then logged into an electronic database. This system enables real-time tracking of each box, allowing various stakeholders, including drug manufacturers, warehouse operators, hospitals, reimbursements and pharmacies to pinpoint the exact location of any specific box at any time. It is a defense against the infiltration of counterfeit drugs into the healthcare system and significantly enhances drug safety standards by ensuring that each box is traceable. It aids in preventing irregularities in drug reimbursement processes and streamlines supply chain management, resulting in more reliable distribution.
